Enjoyed the place, it was wonderful old and luxury and worked for me. The staff were outstandingly accommodating, the continental breakfast with grandmama's preserves was delicious. The location was excellent - near the ferry at Calais, nearby Aire sur la Lys, which is a brisk 25 minute walk or a short drive and the WW1 battlefields and memorials.

Helpful staff, free wake up calls, ironing, and a complimentary breakfast available. Overall special atmosphere. Individually decorated & reasonably priced room with bathrobes, the garden, as for instance. A wide range of food at breakfast like breads and cereals.

The location of the hotel is good and lovely, near to the main square, the sea, and quiet rear garden. Also, it's just a short stroll away from Aire sur la Lys Town Hall, that we visited a few times.

Decent staff, BEAUTIFUL views over the garden, everything is very comfortable. The setting is peaceful, near Aire-sur-la-Lys or the city of Arras, the tunnel and the public areas, beautiful area.

The breakfast was generous for what was on offer, with juice and fresh pastry and Nutella. The location was unbeatable and excellent as for me, adjacent to the gardens and the Lys river as well as which is a brisk 25 minute walk.

On arrival, we were greeted on the steps of the Chateau by the charming, ever helpful owner and his son, who provided excellent friendly service throughout our stay. The hotel itself is wonderfully atmospheric and beautifully decorated and furnished. The French breakfast was very good. Location is good, peaceful and quiet, less than an hour from Calais, and within walking distance of the delightful town of Aire sur la Lys. Highly recommended.

We stayed in a historic chateau near the small town, with an easy drive to the ferry port at Dunkirk. The uneven cobbled area added to the charm. The room was large and comfortable with a modern bathroom. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast spread was extensive. No need to travel to a restaurant as dinner was available onsite with cooking from local produce and wine sold at reasonable prices.
They were unable to provide an evening meal upon our early evening arrival, but the owners were friendly and helpful with suggestions.

A weekend to remember. The welcome we received from Francis and Cedric was superb. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. The Chateau has much charm with large, classically furnished rooms. A most enjoyable weekend!
